Do you like watching reality television? Joanne Sallay of Teachers on Call enjoyed indulging in shows that had an entrepreneurial focus, particularly Shark Tank and Dragons’ Den. Through these shows, she discovered a number of innovative and unique products that entrepreneurs and start ups were pitching, hoping to score some prominent (and wealthy) investors.

Now as a mother, she is looking back at these shows and discovering helpful products that she can purchase for her own child – all while helping out entrepreneurs. In her latest column for Huffington Post Parents, Joanne takes a look at some of these creative products that you can use, too.

On Saturday, November 7, join boxing legend Spider Jones as he proudly presents the Believe to Achieve Charity Art Auction.

Taking place at Artworld Fine Art Gallery in Toronto, the auction directly benefits Spider’s Believe to Achieve Organization.

Believe To Achieve Organization (BTA) is a registered non-profit that assists kids in after-school personal development and mentorship programs. The drop in centre at Jane and Finch provides food programs, study groups for homework help, computer rooms, teaching guides and motivation and support with caring adults. Along with Spider’s hand-picked mentors and motivators, Spider “speaks the same language”. He understands the term “mean streets” as more than an abstraction – Spider Jones has lived it. And survived. Now, Spider Jones is here to help others and to show these kids both love and direction – and a way out and up.

Please join us in supporting this exceptional cause. Tickets will be available soon, so mark your calendars and watch this space!
