On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, Greenwin Inc. joined Philpott Children’s Tennis, the City of Toronto and the Believe to Achieve Organization to launch tennis programming for at-risk youth in the Chalkfarm community.

The program aims to introduce Toronto’s inner-city children to tennis, teaching them not only the basics of the game, but also discipline, cooperation and self-confidence. Headquartered at Chalkfarm Park Tennis Courts (34 Heavitree Drive), the camp is free of charge and will run every summer from July through August from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is expected to serve hundreds of kids every year.

“We’re excited to see yet another important activity running for the children of this community right behind our property,” said Kris Boyce, CEO, Greenwin Inc. “Combined with Believe to Achieve’s Youth Drop-In Centre, which operates out of Greenwin’s Oaks on the Green complex, this neighbourhood has transitioned into a vibrant hub that’s rooted in athleticism and leadership.”
