On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, Greenwin Inc. joined Philpott Children’s Tennis, the City of Toronto and the Believe to Achieve Organization to launch tennis programming for at-risk youth in the Chalkfarm community.

The program aims to introduce Toronto’s inner-city children to tennis, teaching them not only the basics of the game, but also discipline, cooperation and self-confidence. Headquartered at Chalkfarm Park Tennis Courts (34 Heavitree Drive), the camp is free of charge and will run every summer from July through August from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is expected to serve hundreds of kids every year.

“We’re excited to see yet another important activity running for the children of this community right behind our property,” said Kris Boyce, CEO, Greenwin Inc. “Combined with Believe to Achieve’s Youth Drop-In Centre, which operates out of Greenwin’s Oaks on the Green complex, this neighbourhood has transitioned into a vibrant hub that’s rooted in athleticism and leadership.”

It’s back for the 5th year!

Join Greenwin on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 at Angus Glen Golf & Country Club as they tee off at the Greenwin Cares Golf Classic in support of the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation.

Over the years, as Greenwin has grown from a humble construction company into one of Canada’s leading landlords, property managers and developers, so too has our commitment to the communities we serve.

Greenwin Cares was launched to give back to the people who have kept our apartment buildings thriving. Our objectives are to understand and isolate problems of suburban development, socioeconomic deprivation and cultural dislocation; and to open lines of communication in order to determine and address issues that will empower our residents and surrounding neighbourhoods, resulting in increased resident satisfaction.

With a focus on priority neighbourhoods, we implement revitalization initiatives and social programs for all ages at our properties, creating vibrant environments and promising opportunities for our country’s future leaders.

“My only message to the government is: it’s finally not broke. Don’t fix it. Don’t mess around with it.”

Greenwin Inc. Chairman Cary Green recently chatted with CBC about rent control measures in Ontario with the CBC for their New Fixed Address online series.

“This is Jupiter aligned with Mars. You mess with that, and you’re going to see more condos. You’re not going to see more new rentals,” said Green.
