The Cursive team extends our congratulations to Greenwin’s Jenny Affe on being named to the HRM Hot List 2017!

As the Vice President of HR, Jenny has played an integral role in shaping Greenwin’s award-winning team. Here is what HRM had to say about her accomplishments:

“One of Jenny Affe’s key accomplishments over the past year has been the implementation of a leadership development program that allocates time twice a year for people managers and managers-in-training to go off-site and participate in workshops for leadership competencies. Affe facilitates the full-day program, along with similar programs, while overseeing the usual full spectrum of HR services for more than 400 employees.

In 2017, Affe and her team plan to focus on digital initiatives that will drive efficiencies, such as introducing a self-service employee model and an online absence reporting system, following the recent integration of a new payroll and HRIS. They also aim to launch Greenwin University, an in-house training and peer program to deliver a customized onboarding experience, depending on location and role.”

We were proud to attend the Fight for Youth fundraising event on March 9, with all proceeds going to the Believe to Achieve Organization.

Our friend Spider Jones hosted the fete, featuring young boxers and celebrities.

Believe To Achieve Organization (BTA) is a registered non-profit that assists kids, ages 8-16, in after-school personal development and mentorship programs. The after-school drop in centre at Jane and Finch provides food programs, study groups for homework help, computer rooms, teaching guides and motivation and support with caring adults.

Join Spider Jones for the next Fight for Youth event in St. Catharines on May 13. Buy your ticket right here.

2017 is a milestone year. It’s about who we are. It’s about holding our flag high and flaunting the colours, textures and styles that are beautiful, comfortable and built to last. After all, Redwood Classics Apparel is not just creating clothes. They’re creating a movement.

This year, Redwood Classics is celebrating our country’s 150th birthday. In honour of the tribute, they’ve developed RW x Canada 150: a unique collection of Canada-themed patches that will gear you up for the big 1-5-0 in Great White style.

Representing Canadiana to a tee, their patriotic, commemorative patches don’t just pay homage to our dear country — they also pair perfectly with the RW incomparable line of rink-ready-boardroom-approved handcrafted apparel. Join the movement!
